Roz — Meira definitely has some winner recipes, and this one did the trick in a pinch. I was just in NY but on the UES (I know, I know….) but should be back in a week or 2. I’ll let you know in advance .

Enjoy the challah recipe (even though it might no longer be necessary for you now that you’re in the land o’ lots of challah!) and feel free to share with DC people who might get a kick out of it.

PRETZEL CHICKEN??? Robby is going to LOVE this! I can’t believe Meira didn’t tell me herself that she has a recipe for it. I tried making my own pretzel chicken but just coated the breast cutlets in dijon mustard before dredging them in pretzel bits. Meira’s recipe sounds like she put more thought into it than I did. Can’t wait to try it!

Oh, Roberta….what an honor to have you comment on my blog! You are one of my huge inspirations and I can’t wait to come visit (Caroline keeps inviting me down and I’m thinking very very soon). I remember eating at your table over Rosh Hashanah and learning that you had set it weeks in advance! One day in the not so distant future, I hope to, like you, get to review cookbooks, attend food and wine festivals, etc. I loved going to events to report for you, so if there’s anything in Boston/Cambridge (or even in NY), let me know)!

This was great! Naked noodles are also difficult for me…I simply must add cheese or butter, margarine or my most fave- a bit of extra virgin with a twist of pepper ….As for nuggets, I like mine in 18K.
