The advanced research results reported in his PhD Thesis provided the foundation for the molecular based gastronomy technology  (MBGT) that emerged by the middle of the 21st century. By the end of the 21st century, the Adrià  MBGT Systems had become one of the most pervasive and popular applications emerging from the intersection of information technology, biologic technology, and nano technology. The resulting system became the foundation for the food replicators seen in Star Trek.]]></description>
